Title:Using Acupuncture to Maximize Fertility
Location: Osher Center for Integrative Medicine
Circle Room, Suite 150
1701 Divisadero St., San Francisco, CA
Contact:ocim@ocim.ucsf.edu
Admission:Free

Acupuncture, as a part of Chinese medicine, has been used for more than two thousand years to promote well-being and treat illness. In Chinese medicine, health is seen as balance and harmony among the various body systems while imbalances within these systems range from minor signs and symptoms to severe disease.

Human fertility requires all systems to work in a synchronized manner for pregnancy to occur. Recent studies show that acupuncture, when integrated with conventional reproductive techniques, increase the rate of successful outcomes. Joseph Acquah, licensed acupuncturist and doctor of oriental medicine, will discuss the benefits of using acupuncture to maximize fertility.
